SAN BERNARDINO – (INT) – A San Bernardino Express Market clerk turned the tables on a would-be robber who was shot moments later in a confrontation with police.

Initial information was that the clerk disarmed the bandit during a struggle and was shot at. As the thief retrieved a rifle from his vehicle, he encountered officers near the front door of the Market on North Park Boulevard. He was fatally wounded and died at a local hospital.

No officers were injured and neither was the clerk.

Names of those involved in the Friday evening (November 28th) incident were not immediately released.
