Drive-by incident targets Jewish family
REDLANDS – (INT) – Redlands police say they’ve solved a hate crime that targeted a Jewish family.

Search warrants served in Redlands and Yucaipa have turned up an airsoft handgun used in the December 12th incident. That led to the arrest Thursday January 8th of Garrett Bailey Stater, 23, at his Redlands apartment.

Police allege that Stater yelled an antisemitic slur and fired several shots when a vehicle drove past the family’s home that was prominently decorated in celebration of Hanukkah.

There were no injuries or damage.

Police detained two other people who were released after questioning.
