How does your money management skill measure up?
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Inland Empire cities did not score well among those where people have the best money management skills.
Among the cities ranked by WalletHub near the bottom were San Bernardino, Menifee, Hesperia and Moreno Valley. At the top end was the Bay Area city of Cupertino. Residents there had low credit card debts compared to their incomes, the lowest ratio in the nation. “Many keep their (credit card) utilization very low and pay their balance off every month.” WalletHub analyzed over 2,500 cities using 10 key indicators of money-management ability. The data set ranged from the median credit score to the average number of late payments to the mortgage debt-to-income ratio. Story Date: January 23, 2026
