Private education, health services off-set area job losses
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) – In its final report for 2025, the State Employment Development Department (EDD) put the December jobless rate for the Inland Empire at 5.1%. That matched the California rate.

Among the losers and gainers, construction took the biggest hit losing 8,200 jobs in 2025.

Private education and health services tried to make up the losses. That sector added 15-thousand-400 jobs. Trade transportation and utilities also made significant gains in Riverside and San Bernardino counties in 2025.
