Weather changes are coming but rain is a toss-up
INLAND EMPIRE - (INT) - Are weather vanes pointing toward rain?
Some potential weather changes are aimed at Southern California from two directions. One weather system off the Baja Coast may bring enough clouds to create a slight chance of rain over the mountains through Friday. Temperatures are still running about 10-15 degrees above seasonal averages. The weekend will bring a brief dry warming trend ahead of another Pacific weather system. By next Tuesday, the Southland could be exposed to another shot at rain and cooler temperatures. Forecasters are expressing little confidence in the timing and amounts of precipitation. But, the more amplified low pressure trough is bearing widespread precipitation, mainly over and west of the mountains. Story Date: February 5, 2026
