Freeway 91 upgrades could last into 2027
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Freeway 91 through central Riverside will be getting some long-playing attention through the summer of 2027. A pavement rehabilitation project is underway.

Caltrans says the $31 million project is designed to improve safety and extend the life of the freeway by replacing outside lanes, repairing deteriorated concrete, improving on- and off-ramps, and upgrading signs and guardrails.

Motorists can expect lane and ramp closures, including overnights, weekends, and occasional extended 55-hour closures.

The work will extend from Van Buren Boulevard to Madison Street.
