Record-setting heat is taking a break
INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) – Shifting high pressure will set the stage for Southern California’s weather outlook this week. Temperatures will take a dip before getting reenergized later in the week.

There will be stronger and gusty west winds each afternoon and evening in the mountains and deserts. Gusts of 35 to 45 mph are likely in the wind-prone areas. An Air Quality Alert has been issued until Tuesday because of blowing dust in the Coachella Valley.

Dry and a little warmer weather is on deck after mid-week. There is no rain in the 7-day outlook for Southern California.
