Co-pilot of downed fighter jet found safe
The second crew member of an F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jet that crashed in Iran has been rescued by U.S. forces.

President Trump announced the recovery early Sunday in a social media post.

Trump described an intense search and rescue operation that led to the crew member being found safe.

"This brave Warrior was behind enemy lines in the treacherous mountains of Iran, being hunted down by our enemies, who were getting closer and closer by the hour, but was never truly alone," Trump said.

On Friday, the F 15E fighter went down over Iran, prompting a rescue mission that quickly recovered one crew member.

Trump said the second crew member sustained injuries but "he will be just fine."
