Nevada earthquake widely felt
FALLON, NEVADA – (INT) - A moderately strong earthquake was felt Monday evening (April 13th) across Northern California, western Nevada and into the San Francisco Bay area.

The US Geological Survey (USGS) placed the epicenter of the M5.7 jolt northeast of Carson City near Silver Springs.

It was followed by dozens of aftershocks described by the USGS as a ‘cluster’.

Lyon County Emergency Management reported no significant damage or injuries from the quake, but out of caution, response crews are conducting comprehensive damage assessments.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or major damage, but some store shelves were emptied of their merchandise.
