City manager decides that staying put is more important
RIVERSIDE – (INT) – Mike Futrell had changed his mind and says he’s staying on as Riverside City Manager.

Futrell wrote on Facebook over the weekend “We have significant momentum right now in Riverside from major economic development projects and infrastructure investments to public safety enhancements, housing initiatives and the continued activation of our downtown and neighborhoods.”

“I’m staying to see these efforts through”, he stated.

Futrell declared that Riverside is home for he and his wife, Susan.

It was announced Wednesday (April 15th) that Futrell has accepted a similar post in Pasadena.
