COACHELLA – (INT) – Four persons have been killed in a pair of vehicle accidents in the Coachella Valley.

Two drivers were among three people who perished in a head-on, late Tuesday night crash on the I-10 in Coachella. The California Highway Patrol said one motorist was driving the wrong way near Dillon Road.

In Sky Valley near Indio, a sedan collided with an off-road vehicle and caught fire. One person died at the scene on 22nd Avenue Wednesday.

Identities of the victims were not immediately released.
