Box Office: Prada 2 remains number 1
HOLLYWOOD - “The Devil Wears Prada 2” retains the No. 1 spot on domestic box office charts despite three major new releases, Variety reports.
The star-studded comedy has collected $288.4 million internationally for a strong global total of $433 million after just two weeks of release. Second place went to the martial-arts inspired sequel “Mortal Kombat II”. Critics and audiences seem mixed on the R-rated movie, which has a 65% Rotten Tomatoes average and “B” grade on CinemaScore exit polls. Two newcomers, the whodunit “Sheep Detectives” and the concert film “Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D),” landed in fourth and fifth place, respectively. Those movies opened behind “Michael,” which took the No. 3 slot. Story Date: May 16, 2026
