INLAND EMPIRE – (INT) - Mother Nature will be in a mild mannered mood for the next several days.

A weak low pressure center just off the coast has taken temporary control of the Southland’s weather. It is strengthening the onshore flow, deepening the marine layer, pushing it farther inland and producing drizzle along the coast. The May Gray is strong enough to persist through the day in many beach communities.

Temperatures have responded accordingly cooling 15-to-25 degrees.

Westerly winds with gusts of 25-35 mph are possible in the deserts and along the desert slopes of the mountains. Gusts up to 45-50 mph expected in mountain passes, especially in the Banning Pass. Winds will relax and then ramp up again this weekend.
