-Cooler temperatures for coastal regions and inland valleys through the weekend, with gradual warming early next week.

The mountains and deserts of the Inland Empire are under a wind advisory through Sunday. Southwest to west winds will gust to 40 to 50 mph with isolated gusts to 65 mph. The coast and valleys will warm on Monday with the greater warming for inland areas for Tuesday through Thursday.

Riverside is going through its 6th warmest May, according to records kept by the National Weather Service the past 27 years.
