Sheriff’s investigators in Moreno Valley say that drugs played a role in the death of a motorcyclist. Marvonna Vaxter, 25, was fatally injured in a crash with another vehicle Monday night (January 12th). An individual seen running from the scene was later arrested on drug charges. (INT) In Upland, a Monday evening drive-time crash involving a construction box truck and a sedan shutdown four eastbound lanes of the 210 near Mountain Avenue. Initial information from the CHP indicated one person was killed. Earlier in Moreno Valley, a young woman perished early Monday when her vehicle crashed at an intersection on Iris Avenue. Karina Samano, 22, of Moreno Valley died at the scene. (INT) CalFresh households in Riverside County are eligible for replacement benefits after the recent winter storms. Residents who lost food and used CalFresh benefits to purchase that food have until Jan. 22 to report losses and request replacement benefits.
